Tina Does ZooBoo!

Last night, Tina was privileged to attend ZooBoo, an event hosted by the Fresno Chaffee Zoo where kids come out in full Halloween costume to trick-or-treat at merchant booths. Tina got to hang out with the crew from both the Clovis and River Park Chipotle Mexican Grill.

Instead of candy, this year Chipotle opted to hand out little bookmarks embedded with the restaurant's signature ingredient: cilantro. The kids (and parents) could soak the bookmarks in water and plant them to watch their own cilantro grow.

A great time was had by all. If you live in the Fresno/Clovis area and have young children, the ZooBoo is a great, safe trick-or-treating event for the whole family. It is going on next weekend, 10/28-29 from 5-8 at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo. Find more info on the zoo's website!

Hello, My Name Is Ted

This is Ted and Julie:

Ted is a Traveling Turtle. He was born in Pismo Beach, CA and is almost one year old. He lives on the dashboard of a white Mitsubishi Galant which lives mostly in Fresno, CA and he watches the world whiz by. He has been on many adventures with his owners Julie and Claudio, but sadly, they didn't think to take pictures of him on adventures until just recently.

Julie is a full-time college student and is currently maintaining two jobs to enable Ted's insatiable need for adventure. Although she brings home a decent amount of bacon, she was not able to accompany Ted on his newest adventure.

Ted is now under the supervision of Julie's mother and sister, Jenny and Jamie. As you can see, Ted's adopted family has a close personal relationship with the letter "J". Jenny and Jamie are vacationing for two weeks by driving across the country in Julie's car, and are therefore in charge of Ted The Traveling Turtle.

Over the next few weeks, and possibly on an ongoing basis, Julie will be collecting Ted's vacation photos and posting them here. Happy reading!
